3 DAYS TSAVO WEST & EAST SAFARI PACKAGE
Day 1: Nairobi/Tsavo West National park
This morning, depart from Nairobi city and proceed to the Tsavo West National park via the Nairobi-Mombasa road. You will enter the park at Mtito Gate and start your game-drive en-route to your Lodge/camp
Lunch will be served at the lodge/camp and some rest time followed by an extensive game-drive later in the afternoon.
You will visit the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary – a 70 square Kilometer fenced area where Tsavo’s growing population of endangered black rhino are inching their way back from the chasm of extinction that was forced upon them by rampant poaching in the 1960’s.
You will search for elephant, giraffe, buffalo, antelope, lion and other game on your game-drive. Dinner and overnight at lodge/camp
Day 2: Tsavo West National Park-Tsavo East National Park
On this day after breakfast you will enjoy a morning game-drive at the Tsavo West with a visit to the Mzima springs. The Springs are fed daily by 250 million liters of water gushing from the Chyulu Hills providing an oasis of green, an underwater hippo viewing chamber, two nature trails and some unique picnic spots. Proceed to Tsavo East National Park arriving in time for lunch.
The park is famous for the ‘Man-eaters’. In 1898, as many as 135 railway workers were attacked and killed by man-eating lions. The pair of male, maneless lions that, unusually, hunted humans rather than livestock, evaded traps and capture for many months. The man-eaters were eventually shot by Lt. Col. John Henry Patterson, but the legend lives on.
A variety of animals can be seen in the park such as lions, leopard, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, serval, antelopes, kongoni, lesser kudu, oryx, klipspringer, impala, stripped hyena, ostriches, gazelles, buffalos, elephants and many more. A variety of migratory and native birds are seen. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp
Day 3: TSAVO EAST-NAIROBI
Breakfast at the lodge. Depart for Nairobi arriving late afternoon. Lunch enroute (own cost). On arrival drop of at your hotel/residence or drop off at the airport
